Just like many of you, I first learned bass fishing from my Dad, and to respect the outdoors and what it has to offer. You may recall seeing me host the Southern Outdoorsman TV fishing show in the late 1980's. Then and now I am known as "The Happy Fisherman" . I specialize in trophy largemouth bass fishing in Central Florida.

Being an avid outdoorsman since childhood, I recognized the special needs and desires of others seeking their great outdoor adventure. I love teaching others about nature and watching the joy on the faces of children and adults alike when they catch their first Florida largemouth black bass!

We are a faith-based business and we love to focus on families with children, which is why we offer largemouth bass fishing trips aboard pontoon boats. This is just another way to help keep families together, and to teach the youth how to be good stewards of the land and waters.

It also gives everyone (up to 4) the chance to fish at the same time. Plus, there are amenities aboard a pontoon boat, such as a port-a-potty and a sun deck.

We also have a Ranger bassboat for individual anglers, especially those preferring to fish artificial lures instead of live bait.

Guarantees

No one can truly guarantee that you will catch a trophy largemouth bass ... or any fish, for that matter. There are too many variables involved, such as: not setting the hook strong enough; not keeping enough tension on the fish; the fish jumps and throws the hook; the hook turns into the bait; or you might catch another species of fish that frequent the same areas as the bass.

But we DO guarantee that we will put you on trophy largemouth bass, which means you are extremely likely to numerous opportunities to catch several largemouth bass, trophies or otherwise. And we guarantee that we will do our best to give you a trophy largemouth bass fishing trip you won't soon forget.

4 Hours Bass Fishing - 1 or 2 people $400.00, each additional person (up to 3 more) is $100.00 [Plus Bait*]

6 Hours Bass Fishing (only during late fall/winter/early spring season) - 1 or 2 people $600.00, each additional person (up to total of 5/boat) is $150.00 [Plus Bait*]

Included with Fee: Boat (bass or pontoon), motor, fuel, rods, reels, terminal tackle, life jackets, bottled water, cooler w/ice, qualified guide, and instructions (if needed).

Not included with Fee: Cost of live shiners (wild or domestic). They run anywhere between $12 - $25 per dozen (seasonal). We usually take 3 dozen (more for larger groups).

Cancellations

Advance reservations are necessary so we can arrange for bait. We require a debit/credit card number (or a deposit of $100 per boat/per day) to secure the date. Actual payment is paid at the conclusion of your trip, minus any cash deposit. Company groups must pay 50% in advance when confirming date.

Please note that there is a 4% service fee for payments made by credit/debit cards, but you can avoid that by paying in cash.

*All non-US residents must make their reservation deposit by Paypal. Final balance must be paid in cash (USD). Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cancellations

Deposits are fully refundable up until one week prior. Within 2-6 days prior, 75% is refundable. Less than 2-day notice, no refund.

Company group deposits must be cancelled within 60 days for a full refund; within 30-60 days, partial refund of 50%; after 30 days, no refund.

The reason for this is:

Trips may have been refused or referred to another guide, and
Bait is paid for and retrieved from the supplier in advance, cannot be returned, and will not stay alive long in captivity.

Hi Captain Dick, It's Captain Matt here! Sorry I didn't email you sooner, it's been a whirlwind since I got back. I just wanted to thank you again for a great fishing trip and a super fun time. We really enjoyed spending the morning on board with you and Dominique and Bailey couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had. They told my wife how cool and funny you were and had a blast. Boys being boys ...

My brother and I took a group of 4 kids (ages 8-10), including two boys and two girls, fishing with Dick. God bless him. He kept those kids busy and engaged. We caught around 40 bass, with several over 5 pounds. Dick even took the opportunity to share fishing techniques with the kids, and his fishing stories are great.

We had a group of 9 families staying at River Ranch, and boy were they jealous when we brought back fish and pictures. Next time, we will certainly have a larger group for fishing. And all enjoyed a few bass on the grill for dinner. Thanks Dick for showing the kids (and me and my brother) a great time.
